Stitchery Dickery Dock
The Haphazard Sewing Chronicles of a sporadic seamstress. Welcome aboard and don't mind the clutter. No matter how hard I try, when I'm sewing everything ends up an absolute wreck.
I have a "thing" for old fashions...I actually like wearing corsets (not that I do that on a day to day basis, but when reenacting or dressing up for holidays and the like, on go my stays). On a more practical level for modern wear though, is garb from the War Years (WWII). I most definitely do not dress in period or even period-inspired garments all the time. Most of my clothes come from that very handy store known as "Goodwill". However, I have aspirations (dreams) of expanding my 'sewn-by-me' pieces.
At anyrate, this blog here is for my "stitchery" tales...current projects and the like. Who knows? You might end up with event pictures from reenactments and other things....

About the picture: Spending some time with my then 96-year-old "Best Beau" and his brother at Remembering WWII 2016. Picture taken by my now sister-in-law Abigail, one of the event photographers. I made my outfit (which you really can't see in the photo). {Bob has since passed.}
